For a big part of my life, I had dreams of owning an animation studio and making children's cartoons. In college, my big idea was a classic superhero/magical girl series featuring cats in space. I called it "Galacticats". It was a reimagining of a little comic book series I drew when I was in Third Grade that I called Space Cats.
For a Media Projects class in college, I wanted to do a traditional animation. Since I already had a lot done for the storyboard of what was going to be the pilot episode, I decided to animate this clip! I got two of my friends to do the voice acting, and I also composed the musical score.
Sadly, the series never came to fruition. This was around the time burnout would really hit me, and I found myself unable to take on long term passion projects like I used to when I was a kid. The progress ground to a halt. If someday I ever get my vitality back, I hope to reboot this project. I'd hate for it to go to waste.
